Fruit or Veggie?

Words - fruits - veggies... I wonder how else I will be defined this year...

How about you? If you could describe your essential self as a fruit or vegetable, what would it be and why?

Ooh, I like this game. My immediate response is that I would describe myself as a kiwi. It was actually someone else who first came up with this for me, but I rather like it, and I think it pretty much fits. Sweet and tart, different on the inside than I appear on the outside, full of little seeds, asymmetrical with a mysterious core.

And I just realized, since I'm having a "green" year how appropriate this all is for me to consider! Thank you!

I love your drawing! That's a great way to do a mind map.

A Raspberry ~ red, juicy, sweet and vulnerable. Vigourous, requiring lots of sunlight. Somewhat thorny, meaning that one must pick raspberries with care, to avoid being pricked by a thorn. Yep, that's me.

polli - i think kiwi is perfect - green, too!! thx for commenting on the drawing - i'm so self-conscious about my "artistic" output, however, i'm always telling people it's about process not product - so decided i should practice what i preach :)

tinkerbell - raspberries are just about my personal favorites! i think they're quite luscious!!

I do like your drawing and all the great adjectives in it.

Two fruits come to my mind. The first one is a fruit I first saw in Thailand, and which is sold pretty much everywhere now. It is spiky, while pretty and interesting, smells awful but tastes nice when you eat it.

The other is a pear 'Comice', a wonderful pear you can buy on markets in France, big, somewhat grey-green, with a fabulous texture, fabulous taste and wonderfully juicy, Just the way a pear should be.

The first word that came to mind was: pomegranate, filled with seeds of creativity and possibility.

The word I selected for 2011: connections.

I just have to quote - well, paraphrase - Shrek.

Ogres have layers, onions have layers.

Les has layers, onions have layers - so the answer is onion!

I'm coming to this very late just to prime you with the thought that another good question is "If you were a piece of furniture, what would you be?"
